We have published an article on the topic of
“Using Agile Methods to Improve Efficiency in Requirements Engineering By learning from the Agile Manifesto”
The articel shows that the Agile Manifesto is a collection of good engineering practices.
The article presents a project that was performed using good engineering principles. When the project was finsished, people commented that the project was agile. Practices used where checked against the values and principles of the Agile Manifesto and found to be fully conformant.
By deploying the concept of feature owners coordinated by a chief requriements engineer the author was able to reduce the number of requirements and associated review, and system verification effort by 70%.
